Friend Mail!

I thought it would be cute to start a new thing when I feature care packages I get from friends! This post will be about the amazing items I got from Ruth when we did a pen pal trade package. You can find this lovely lady at https://doeeyedruth.blogspot.com Let me first start by saying that I felt inspired to contact Ruth after seeing all the great photos she had posted of her thrifting and antique finds. Which got me thinking why am I not friends with this human bean yet? A big personal problem of mine that I'm trying to overcome is my lack of social skills. Which definitely shows as I am a major lone wolf. I would rather surround myself with the best people possible that inspire and uplift vs. waste time having fake stressful friendships any day. I totally learned that the hard way in high school for sure..anyways a good rule of thumb is anyone who digs collecting old stuff and adventuring is A okay in my book. But long story short this trade package was so much fun I love being able to pick things out for people and in a way I make it into a creative challenge! So I can only hope she loves everything I selected as much as I love mine. So without delaying it any longer let the spamming of photos begin~

Salem could definitely smell Yuki he would not stop rubbing his face all over the card and he even crawled into the box when I was finished (Yuki is Ruth's cat btw she's a precious white cinnamon roll) also do you see how pretty this card is? I really love wax seals they give everything such a elegant touch
The first thing I wanna show that was in the package is this amazing photo of victorian ladies (the more faded one! I already own the top photo) They fit so nicely together and I love how distressed it looks. The sleeve it was in had it dated for 1857 my collection is starting to slowly venture further back in time and I couldn't be more happy about that.

Next is this vintage brush & mirror set we both agreed that it had to be at least from the 50's? I love the gold accents & the brush even has some hair in it (small little fact about me but I have a fear of other peoples hair that I don't know touching me it's a long cringy story I promise) so if I clean the brush I will be recruiting a friend for help haha
Look at all the pins Ruth included! I can't wait for it to get cooler so I can bust out my heavier clothing and attach some of these. My favorite is the deer♡
And just look at this tray I love the contrast of colors with the black I even found it's larger twin recently looking around in a local antique store.
*The larger version I found*
This would go great in a kitchen or to be used as a jewelry/perfume display
I was so excited to see this! I actually almost went out of my way to buy a pair off Etsy a few months ago if you can believe that. They are just so unique and I'm pretty sure that they are used for sewing purposes to cut thread.
This tote was such a nice surprise and the print on it was so cute! Plus I have so much room to throw whatever I want in it. Anybody else super extra when it comes to the contents of your bag or is that just me?
Ruth included a bunch of pretty feathers in a bag for me that I didn't have time to snap a photo of but it inspires me to start collecting more myself. The stuff wrapped in twine was all either grown or collected by her and so I thought it would look lovely with my glass case of small bones, crystals and shells (the snake skin in the front of the case is also from her) It's so touching that she took the time to actually do this.
Last but not least is this shirt! It was listed on her Depop store and I really liked the look of it so I bought it and had it shipped with everything else~ (ITS COOL TO SUPPORT YOUR FELLOW FRIENDS OKAY) anyways that's the end of my rant I hope you all enjoyed my attempt at a second blogpost. I'm still liking that I have a site to devote some time and creativity into and I hope I can continue to keep up with it and get even better. I want to thank Ruth once again for this package it really did make my week and I can't wait to do this once again!
